Obituary
William G Knorr Jr., 90, of Fort Wayne died January 28, 2019 at home, surrounded by his loving family. William was born December 7, 1928 in Buffalo, NY. He was the son of the late William Sr, and Blanche Knorr and was a graduate of Canisius High School and the University of Notre Dame.William was a production line manager for ITT for 20 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus member for over 50 years, American Meteorological Society, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, past board of the Fort Wayne Community Foundation and retired District Coordinator for AARP Tax Aid Program. He had a great sense of humor and positive attitude on life and loved the Buffalo Bills and Sabers and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He thoroughly loved to travel but his greatest love was his God and his family. William is survived by his sons David (Jennifer) Knorr of Fort Wayne, IN and Daniel (Stacy) Knorr of NY. son-in-law, Scott Barhydt of New Haven, IN; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. William was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy J Knorr, daughter Laurie Barhydt, brother Thomas Knorr. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 pm, Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd with calling one hour prior. Visitation will be held Friday, February 1, 2019, from 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with a rosary at 4:30 pm. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: Matthew 25 or Vincent Village.
