I thought of Vicki frequently……we were neighborhood and St. John the Baptist School friends. I just happened to upon this Obituary. It was fun to be at her home with all her sisters. Patty, Vicki and I made our first home made Pizza together. Vicki was a very kind person. May she rest in peace,
I first met Vickie in 1995. She was the first person to call in response to an announcement asking for volunteers to help plan the first city-wide Random Acts of Kindness Week in Fort Wayne. Vickie’s help was invaluable to the success of RAK that year and years after. She had great ideas about how to reach out to include the community and she used her established business connections to support the community celebration.
Vickie and I became great friends. She is a beautiful and kind person. Vickie had a very unique quality that I had never noticed in anyone else. When she spoke to me she always reminded me of my good qualities and lent encouragement in whatever I was doing at the time.
When she and Larry moved to Las Vegas I missed her very much but we did try to stay in touch. In Vegas, she was happy to be part of anything “Elvis” and enjoyed meeting new friends.
I know Vickie is now an angel in heaven as she was, naturally, an angel on earth! I extend my deepest sympathies and sincere condolences to her dear husband, Larry, and her entire family.

Patty, I am so sorry for your loss. It’s been a long time since we have been in touch but the pic of Vicki brings back a lot of memories. That’s exactly how I remember her. May she have peace now in the arms of Jesus and may you feel His peace as well. Would love to re-connect.
