STEPHEN J. POTOSKY, 66, of Fort Wayne, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at home. Born September 2, 1957, in Fort Wayne, Steve was the son of the late Frank J. Potosky and Judith (Hunt) Potosky who survives. Steve graduated from Snider High School and worked in the automotive service industry. He was a Matco Tools franchise owner and an automotive instructor at Ivy Tech. He had a great passion for cars and home audio. Steve was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Surviving are sons, Zachary (Grace) Potosky and Matthew Potosky, and newborn grandson, Francis Thomas Potosky; mother, Judith (Hunt) Potosky; sisters, Lynn Potosky, Susan (John) Ginther and Laura (Chris) Backes; brothers, Thomas Potosky, Phillip (Annette) Potosky and Scott (Kris) Potosky; and aunts, Nancy Cerney and Patricia Noll. Also surviving are former wife and caregiver, Beth (Rogers) Potosky and former sister-in-law, Susan (Teegarden) Potosky; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Prayer service will be 12:30 pm, Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, with calling hours immediately after service until 4 pm. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials to St. Charles Catholic School or Bishop Dwenger High School Tuition Assistance, or to donor’s choice.
