Obituary
Sharon Mary (Zoch) Hipskind, cherished wife, mother, grand and great-grandmother passed away at age 87 on April 17, 2023. She spent her last hours surrounded by her family and friends.
Sharon was born in Fort Wayne on February 10th, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Germaine and Erhard Zoch.
Sharon was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, and Holy Cross College in Notre Dame Indiana. As a registered nurse, she was a compassionate and loving caregiver to her patients for over 50 years. When officially retiring at the age 75, she continued her passion for nursing by volunteering at Parkview.
Sharon most enjoyed spending time with her family & friends, gardening, reading good books and traveling when she could.
She is survived by her children, Joe (Michelle) Hipskind, Marie (Matt) LeClerc, John Hipskind, Tom (Amy) Hipskind, Theresa (Todd) Alderson; siblings, Robert (Alice) Zoch, and James Zoch; 12 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Daniel; son Michael; and brothers, John “Jack” Zoch and Gary Zoch.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd, Ft. Wayne, IN 46815 with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Catholic Cemetery on Lake Avenue, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Memorials in memory of Sharon may be made to Mathew 25.

To all Sharon’s family, feel our hugs as we all mourn your Mom, Grandma, Sister. We would be with you to pray and celebrate her life if we were in Fort Wayne. Loved her great sense of humor, her determination, her steadfastness, her acceptance of whatever life threw her way.
