Obituary
Robert Gomez Moncada Padron. March 12, 1942 — August 20, 2019. Known to family and friends as “Bob”, he was born in D’Hanis Tx (Medina County) and raised in San Angelo, Texas. He is preceeded in death by his girlfriend and confidant – Sharon Carpenter; his parents – Julia Y. Cortinas and Gerardo Gomez (NM); Juan Romero and Benita Moncada Padron (Julia’s sister), his grandaughter Rosario Elena Garcia, and numerous relatives.
He is survived by his daughter — Linda Padron of San Angelo Tx. Grandaughters Analicia (husband Devenn) and Angelica (husband Leo), five great grandchildren; and numerous distant cousins.
“Bob” was an autodidantic musician and song writer, who travelled with many different bands throughout his musical career. His instruments of choice were the guitar, electric guitar, & saxophone. Many of those bands are famous now due in part to his songwriting skills. Sadly, health issues forced him to retire from music but he continued to work as a truck driver and snow plow.
The family would like to thank all the nursing staff and physicians at Parkview Palliative Health Care facility, Parkview Randallia Hospice Care, the staff at Senior Town Apartments, and Divine Mercy Funeral Home for your care, understanding, patience, & assistance.
Special thanks to Bob’s friends — Carl Terlosky, Lisa, and Ken for their assistance to the family during their stay in Fort Wayne and for their kind and loving support.
