We’d met Bob and Marcia through John as he played hockey for Northrop HS. An upfront, personable, honest man . . .
We admired him in so many ways. More recently as the four of us parted company after eating lunch, just as I’d turned away we heard Bob say ‘we love you guys’. I missed the opportunity to return the kindness, but never forgot it, and sure enough the next time we met, he let go with the same, and not missing a beat, I said ‘we love you guys too’. Thank you so much for that, Bob! Through many conversations, we’ll most remember the love he had for family. Family had to have dominated his life and what a true fortune that was for him. You must each be so proud he was a part of you and that God gave us this opportunity to know such a man. We enjoyed our precious time with him (yes, of course you too, Marcia). Through this sadness it’s our hope you’ll find a bit of peace, each of you, in knowing that although he’s a piece of heaven now, he’ll remain your ‘strength’ forever and ever. We’ll talk soon Marcia!
Our deepest sympathy on the loss of a truly great man.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
