Bob, Megan and I are so sorry for your loss. Your father raised some great men. You should be proud of what he taught you! My family grieves with you and sends our prayers. Stay strong my friend
I have so many good memories of Mr. Eddy. I remember going ice skating every year at the Glenbrook Mall then to the Eddy house for sleepovers every year to celebrate Chris’s birthday. Mr. Eddy always made sure we behaved but had a good time. Another memory I have of Mr. Eddy involves his radio commercials for Feuser Heating and Air. I heard it every morning on my way to school at Saint Charles. Before long, I had the entire commercial memorized. I can still recite it about verbatim, including “Call us what you like, but call us.” I love that phrase. Thinking back on the brilliance of that line, I think God would say the same thing. Whatever we call Him or for whatever reason, He just wants to hear from us. I also remember attending Dwenger football and basketball games with my dad since at least the early to mid 90’s. We went to every game, home and away. On the way there, I was certain that we would see at least one familiar family we would know at those games. Sure enough, we always said hi and usually sat near Mr. Eddy and Chris. Seeing Mr. Eddy’s welcoming smile was always a treat and cheering with his intensity was always a challenge. I loved every minute of it. Dick Eddy’s passing is a loss for this world, but such a gigantic gain for those in Heaven. He and his entire family will be in our prayers. May… Read more »
Thanks for being a great friend and neighbor. The Mahlie family will always fondly remember the Eddys!
Sending our sincere condolences to Richards family.
We will always cherish the memories we made golfing and traveling with Richard.
I am so sorry to hear about Dick’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I have so many fond memories of summers spent at the Eddy lake house. I always looked forward to those weekends with you all and skiing, swinging from the rope behind the house, and floating in tubes. Dick and Mary Lou always made us feel so welcome and so at home and the Lathrop girls loved running around with the Eddy boys-maybe getting into a little bit of trouble! Dick was a great man and will surely be missed. Love, prayers, and hugs to all of you.
Remembering the good times
To the Eddy Family, please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Sending prayers & deepest sympathy,
Love, (Patty, Tom, and John’s kids) Jenny Kohout, Julie Rowland, Christina Harpring, Amy Hill, Jill Heinzen, Melissa Clifford, Nathan Jeffery and Colleen Clifford

We are thinking of you.
I’m so sorry to hear that Dick Eddy has passed away. We certainly had some great times when our families went to Florida on spring breaks and often times playing golf together. Dick was a quality person that will be missed by all that knew and admired him.
Thinking of you all in this very difficult time. Sorry we could not be there. Sending love and prayers.
Deepest Sympathy
Some vey fond memories at the lake as a kid—even when he spoke “Hungarian.” Prayers for all of you.
The first time I met Dick, we were at a mutual friend’s home. Dick walked right up to my husband and introduced himself. My husband, at the time, was in a grumpy mood and did not want to be there, but Dick’s friendliness pulled him in. The two of them chatted like old friends. We were almost the last couple to leave that night, with my husband’s grumpiness gone.

Since that night years ago, I have had the pleasure of being in Dick’s company several times. That friendly, kind personality has shown up each time. I will remember him as kind, patient, easy to talk with, and interesting. He will be sorely missed. May God bless him and his family!
My God give you all comfort in this difficult time of loss and hope in knowing you will be reunited again one day. May Dick rest in peace with Jesus Christ.
With deepest sympathies
I’m saddened to see the news of Dick’s passing. Prayers and peace to the family.
