Obituary
Margaret E. “Peggy” Didrick, 76, of Fort Wayne passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at Parkview-DeKalb Hospital. She was born February 15, 1947, in Angola, IN to the late Keith and Loretta (Wood) Taylor.
A former nurse and long-time member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Fort Wayne, Peggy was devout in her faith and tirelessly put the needs of others above her own. Raising five children was her priority in life, and she still made time for baking and gardening, as well as dancing at family functions. Fun-loving and outgoing, people were drawn to Peggy. Her genuine, lively laugh lifted spirits and warmed hearts. To Peggy, gathering with loved ones was a true gift, one she never took for granted. She especially cherished time spent with her two young granddaughters. To her family and friends, Peggy was the gift. Her abiding love, empathy, humility and grace will forever be a source of inspiration to the many souls she touched, who truly admired her as the most selfless person they knew.
Peggy is survived by her children: Paula Didrick of Indianapolis, IN, Brian Didrick of Fort Wayne, IN, Jennifer (Chris) Napier of Auburn, IN, Cory (Andy) Didrick-Pitts of Palm Springs, CA, and Nora (Brent) Foster of Westfield, IN; granddaughters Indy and Addy Foster; brother Jim (Peggy) Taylor of Carmel, IN and sister, Noni (Lonnie) Price of Nashville, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ann Hamilton and Sue Evans; and her grandson, Cade Foster.
The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 5, 2023 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2100 Randallia Drive, Fort Wayne, IN. Prior to Mass, the family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the church. Burial will take place in Catholic Cemetery. Peggy. Rest in peace
I work with Jen – one of Peggy’s daughters. Jen is a wonderfully kind and thoughtful person. Jen said she learned everything to do with being nice and kind to others from her mom. Peggy must have been quite the mom and awesome person who was so good to all she met. Her family is already missing her.
Peggy Rest in Peace
Peg was a dear friend for 70 years. From childhood, when we shared laughter, to adulthood, when we shared both laughter and tears. I will miss her till we are together again. Blessings, your friend, Jean
