You are my favorite Aunt & I loved you from time I was a child. You were always loving & gracious. I shall always remember you Aunt Nell. Rest 8n heavenly peace
My relationship with Nellie goes back over 60 years as she was the widow of Carl, my Dad’s beloved first cousin — so she was my “Bonus Aunt.” No July 4 fireworks was ever so wonderful and special as those evenings when we would gather at the Reidenbach house across from Foster Park. As so often happens in families, decades passed and we picked up regular contact again but this time as grown adults. I recall her story of her first airplane trip was to Germany — by herself — pretty adventurous, to see one of her daughter’s family during military service. After my Mother died in 2001, my contact with Nellie grew more frequent as she was that last link to my Dad’s earlier life. No return trip to Ft. Wayne was complete with a call or a drop-by visit with Nellie. I know she had a “long twilight” the past decade and the patience of her daughters and son-in-laws was noted as they responded to her needs the best they could. Condolences to all who knew her.
May you be comforted by the outpouring of love surrounding you

To Rosemary and Marilyn. So sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I think back to our years in Bethlehem grade school and spending time at your house. Going to Van Wert Co. Fair. All so long ago but still clear in my memory. My condolences to you and all the family.
With deepest sympathy
