Obituary
Michael Brendan Clemens, 58, of Boise, Idaho dually residing in The Dalles, Oregon passed away suddenly on December 10th, 2018 in their Oregon home. Brendan was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on April 15th, 1960. He was the son of Daniel P. Clemens and Mardi Griffin Clemens. We believe Brendan spent his final moments doing what he loved most, listening to music and singing along with thoughts of the family he loved so dearly. Brendan grew up surrounded by childhood friends, calling themselves the "Kensington hood" who still remain a huge part of his life. His smile could be described as infectious and when he smiled a stranger could become a friend in an instant. He was the kind of man you would meet once at the hardware store or grocery mart and remember him as "that guy with the smile". Brendan, or as some might say "MacGyver", could always be found fixing things around the house or jimmy rigging something to make it better. If he wasn't in the house you would find him outside doing yard work and always finding a way to stay busy. He liked ice cubes in his wine and hot sauce on his eggs, avocados were "yuck" and in no circumstances, should there ever be tomatoes in his salad. Most importantly, Brendan was a family man. He was a loving husband, a proud father and an incredible man to so many loved ones around him. The way he looked at his wife was a love unlike any other, with a love story starting in the streets of London. If you ever heard Brendan talk about his children, you know the love and adoration he had for each of them and there are no words to describe how proud he was to be called their father. The legacy Brendan leaves behind will forever be held in the hearts of every person who knew him. Brendan is also survived by his soul mate and loving wife of 29 years Sheryl Follmer Clemens, his four adoring children: Mitchell (26), Gretchen (24), Blake (23), and Gordan (20), his siblings: Sheila (Scott), Daniel (Cheryl), Kathryn (Mike), Patrick (Susan), Grace (Brian), his sister in-law Janice (Larry) and brother in-law Jim (Lisa), his father-in-law George Follmer and mother-in-law Glenda Quint (Mike) along with numerous nieces and nephews. Brendan was preceded in death by his sister Meg. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Saint Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton DR with calling one hour prior. Visitation will be held Friday, December 28, 2018, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with a vigil at 4:30 pm. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Catholic School Tuition Assistance or Bishop Dwenger High School.

Brendan is a good soul and has a heart for Christ. Brendan had the gift of reaching out to others and including them in his circle of friends and making them feel loved. He’ll be missed here on earth.
