Obituary
Marcia Widdifield, 75, of Fort Wayne went to her Heavenly Home on Friday, January 28, 2022. She was surrounded by her loving family. Marcia was born in Fort Wayne to the late Dr. John and Mary Catherine Kortenber. Marcia grew up in New Haven, Indiana. She attended Central Catholic High School and graduated from Purdue University. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church. Marcia was a Title Clerk at Collins Oldsmobile. She had a great love for sports and was an avid IU basketball fan. She never missed a game. Marcia loved her family and lived for her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Marcia is survived by her devoted and loving husband Bill of 55 years, her son, Randy Widdifield, her two daughters, Leann (Chris) Johnston and Jodie (Monty) Powell. Her siblings, Rosie (Don) Simmons, Bill (Donna) Kortenber, Bob (Valerie) Kortenber, Don (Patti) Kortenber, Jerry (Jane) Kortenber, Cathy (Al) Anzini. Grandchildren: Catie, Sophia and Avalee. Many beloved nieces and nephews.
Marcia was preceded in death by her sister, Marilou & brother in-law Ross Derheimer and her brother in-law Danny Widdifield.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Friday, Feb. 4, 2022 at Our Lady of Good Hope, 7215 St. Joe Rd with calling one hour prior. Visitation also will be held 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with a Rosary Service at 3:45pm. Entombment will be in Catholic Cemetery.

Am sorry to hear of Marcia’s passing – she was kind, fun loving & generous. Worked at Collins with she & Jerry – so many fond memories. Marcia will be dearly missed at the Collins gang gatherings.. Rest in peace, friend. Prayers to the family. Laura (Smith) Stronczek

I’m so sorry to read of Marcia’s passing. I am from St John’s parish in New Haven. and also went to Central Catholic High School. Although she was a few years older, I remember how beautiful inside and out Marcia was. She was such a lovely lady, always having time to say hello. Sending prayers of comfort to all of her family. May she Rest In Peace.
