Ken— Your Mom and Dad were special people. We met them when we were building our home on Big Long lake—and had great times helping each other putting in piers, fishing or just socializing with neighbors. Knowing your Mom and Dad for the 6 years we lived by them was always uplifting and fun. Your Dad and I would send cards and talk on the phone 1-2 times a year after we moved to Arizona—I always looked forward to chatting with him about the changes at the lake. God bless Joe and Mary Fenker—- Jim & Jill Littlejohn
Tom, Ken, Jan, Judy, Cheryl, Joan, My heart goes out to your families in the loss of your father. I regret that I will not be able to attend his services due to conflicting travel arrangements. But I wanted to reach out and let you know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I loved Uncle Joe’s smile. He was a very special, sincere, loving man. Growing up together, we cousins always enjoyed getting together, a lot of good times. As we grew up and started our own families there is one memory that stands out. Aunt Mary and Uncle Joe stopped by our house in Waterloo when Nate was probably around 4 years old. We were not home but later at a family picnic Uncle Joe mentioned to Nate that even though we were not home, he played with all of Nate’s toys that had been left out on the deck. Nate at the time did not know what to think but to this day Nate fondly remembers his Great Uncle Joe ! Your dad will be missed dearly but he is home now and with your mom. With love to each of you, Debbie
