Obituary
JoEllen Pickering was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on July 23, 2023.
She was born to Richard and Maxine Robertson on March 13, 1946. JoEllen graduated from Huntertown High School and Rudae’s Beauty School.
JoEllen was the life of the party. She never met a stranger. Jo loved being with family and friends, going to dinner and dancing, traveling, playing bridge, euchre, bocce ball tournaments, shopping, anything Christmas, and most of all spending time with her two daughters, her two son-in-laws, and eight grandchildren. JoEllen was a devout Catholic and was as member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Maxine; and brothers Tom, Jim, and Phil Robertson. Surviving are her daughters, Lisa (Matt) Atkinson and Rachel (Greg) Roembke; her grandchildren whom she adored, Andrew Roembke (Elizabeth), Nick Jugloff, Alex Jugloff, Emma Roembke, Lily Atkinson, Addison Roembke, and Easton Roembke.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, IN 465835 with visitation one hour prior. JoEllen will be laid to rest at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.

Jo Ellen & I worked together. I hadn’t realize she had passed love Jowell and greatly and she was a dear friend. I will miss her.
