Obituary
Jill Robbins Feichter, 68, passed away July 21, 2023, at her residence in Fort Wayne, IN surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with MDS and Leukemia. Jill was born February 14, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Lincoln High School, Vincennes, IN, in 1973. She graduated from Indiana University 1977 with B.A. Speech Pathology where she fell in love with her husband Tom. In 1979, she graduated from Indiana University M.A. Speech Pathology. She worked for a short time at Turnstone Center with preschool children, and a few other agencies during her years prior to children. Jill enjoyed many activities, including bike riding, watching her kids play sports as they grew up, chatting and visiting with her friends, and getting her nails done. She was involved in many activities over the years including Sunday school, MOPS, greeter ministries, and various clubs, and always volunteering in something. She always stayed on top of her speech pathology license and was a member of the American Speech & Hearing Associations for 30 years. Above all else, Jill's faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior was first, followed by dedication to her children and grandchildren: "She was the best Mimi". Her family and friends were blessed by her unconditional love, bubbly spirit, and servant’s heart. Our hearts rejoice that she is with our precious Savior.
Jill is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Thomas J. Feichter. Children: Andrew Feichter and Ashley (Steve) Snead. Grandchildren: Graham and Maxwell Feichter, Aurora and Coral Snead. Memories of Jill Living life together, fill My heart and my mind Jill Smiling, thoughtful and kind Two Moms investing in little boys Not satisfied with days spent with toys Instead -lessons to learn to putt and chip Etiquette and rules from another’s lip Hockey sticks and pads to learn to skate We giggled and laughed whilst we wait Up, down, and down again, with rosy cheeks But standing strong in a matter of weeks. Soccer shoes and balls in spring Softer chairs for moms and all the things To keep the siblings busy and still Toys, water bottles and snacks to fill Summertime fun in the pool Laps and laps, warm or cool Complaints the swimsuits were too small But the muscles were not, come the fall The leaves turn, in comes fall Pass and shoot the basketball The bleachers now, we two moms would use For sharing all our latest news. Friends together living life Sharing the joys of mother and wife Sharing the challenges and the fun Thankful when another practice was done Bible study, parties, and field trips Lunches, sports and permission slips Carpools, baby showers, and school plays Fond memories of really good days Time – such a big dose Side by side we sat, too close To hide our feelings and our pains Our hopes and dreams, our victories and gains. Encouragement, loyalty and trust Unconditional Acceptance -a must God gave me a friend Who will endure to the end Memories of Jill Living… Read more »

Our thoughts and prayers are with you
My sincere sympathy
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tom, Andrew, Ashley, and the entire family. We have wonderful memories of Jill from the early days when Tom and Larry worked at Coopers & Lybrand, and we did things as couples, to the days when our kids went to school together at Blackhawk. Jill always had a ready smile and great laugh, and was generous with both. We know she will be missed by so many.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Jill, and the Feichter family.
Tom, Andrew, Ashley and family: Sharing with you all my sincere condolences and prayers for enduring love-filled memories of Jill, for peace and happiness. -Emily
Praying for your whole family. Our deepest condolences.
God Bless Jill. We will keep her radiant personality and charm in our hearts. May God take her into his arms and bring comfort to her family.
Jill and I go back to our “baby days”. We attended Christ Church at Georgetown together and we always remained friends . Our kids went to Blackhawk Christian school together and our friendship grew. I will never forget her giggles and infectious loving and fun personality. Her consistent and unwavering faith always inspired me. I will miss her so much but i know she is “giggling” with Jesus right now 🙌🏼❤️
Being new to the neighborhood, it took Jill no time at all to share her sunshine personality. We laughed, we shopped, we lunched, most importantly shared the title of Mimi. It was a huge loss when she and Tom left us to return to Ft Wayne after their short stay in OakBrook. Our friendship only grew throughout her diagnosis and treatments.
Jill fought her battle with bravery, honesty and grace. God bless the Feichter family as they carry her legacy of love.
