Eric and Kayla, as you now know I didn’t find out about Janis’ passing until your mom/grandma’s passing last year. I am still in disbelief that she is gone. Even though we lost touch with one another from time to time over the years, I always considered her a good, long time friend that I loved. Our friendship began back in 1978 when we were only 21 and 18 when we met in orientation for North American Van Lines. During which time we even became roommates for a short time. Eric, I can remember how you would come over every night, watch T. V. and then leave at 10 pm on the button. I also remember when you guys finally got married. Then most importantly I remember when you finally became parents with the birth of a little, tiny, itty bitty, miracle baby girl you named Kayla. Kayla you were born so early and yet look at you now. You’ve grown into such a beautiful and smart young lady that I know your mom was very proud of. I’m so sorry you lost her at such a young age. Eric I am so sorry you lost the love of your life. I hope you are both coping well together. April sends her love along with a message for you Eric, she said you still owe her a compass. Do you remember from the boat trips when you said you would get her one? Just kidding of course. Our sincere condolences… Read more »

I am heart broken as is the Micah 6:8 Bible study sisters of Janis. She was a longtime member of our small Christian Community and we will miss her terribly. The cherished memories that we have will never by lost, for what you carry in your heart is yours to keep forever. She was a beautiful Christian woman. May God hold her in the palm of his hand. May her family and friends find peace in the days ahead.
