Obituary
James R. Roehling, 72, of Columbia City and formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday July 1, 2024. Jim was born June 4, 1952 in Fort Wayne, the son of Edward E. Roehling and Evelyn (Ryan) Roehling Haskamp. He graduated from Central Catholic High School with the Class of ’70, and continued on to earn his Associates degree from Oakland Community College. Jim was employed by the Dana Corp., having retired after 36 years with the company. He loved his family and he was passionate about Notre Dame football.
Jim is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cynthia A. (Ranly) Roehling; his daughter, Aimee Snaufer of Leo; sons, Paul Roehling of Columbia City and Dan (Christine) Roehling of Brookfield WI; grandchildren, Evan, Dylan and Sam Snaufer, all of Leo and Max, Kendall and Chloe Roehling, all of Brookfield WI; his sisters, Nancy (Roger) Wilson of Woodburn, and Mary Cabeen and Cecilia “Cissie” (Kevin) Craig, both of Fort Wayne; brother, Don (Mary) Roehling of Eagle ID, and many nieces & nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Edward Roehling; mother, Evelyn Roehling Haskamp; step-father, Eugene Haskamp, and his brother, Tom Roehling.
Funeral Services 11:00am Wednesday July 10, 2024 at Divine Mercy Lake Avenue Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave, with visitation from 10-11am. Visitation also on Tuesday July 9, 2024 from 4-8pm. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery.
