Debbie, I am just sick I missed Dan’s funeral by one day. I just found out of his passing. Dan was the most special person! I taught 5th grade with him at Northcrest & it was such a special time. Dan was sweet, hilarious, honest, motivating, inspirational,& exceptional. The last time I saw him was at The Deck. He loved you & all of his family. I will try not to be sad because I know he is rejoicing in heaven. Much love to you & your family. Much love! Cindy Diehl
Dan was part of the group that welcomed me to Northcrest School. He helped to make my first years of elementary school teaching go more smoothly, and for that I am very grateful. He always talked lovingly about his family, especially the nieces and nephews! He will be missed.
In the short time I knew Dan, he was such a gentle man…always a smile and always had a nice compliment every time he saw me. He was my euchre partner and I will always cherish that time. Last Tuesday, when I went past his apartment, one of the stick em bunnies dropped from his tree in front of my walker. I knew that was a message from Dan. He will be missed by all. Deepest sympathy to his family. Janet Scheele Resident at Apple Ridge
Our deepest condolences to the entire family, although we didn’t know Dan personally, we can only imagine the impact he’s left on the family! May you rest in peace. Tanya & Dan
Dear Debbie and family, Know that our hearts (both Peg and mine) reach out to you in sympathy and love. Dan was a dear, kind and sweet soul who dedicated his life to teach little children. I was blessed to have not only known him but also sing with him in the Xavier University Glee Club with his best friend, John Connell. We had many great trips and times together. I never heard him say a negative comment or mean-spirited remark about anyone. He was a gift. I know that you (Debbie) look after him in his illness and you should feel no regrets. May you be blessed with serenity and fond memories of Dan.
Our condolences to all who knew Dan, we knew him as a neighbor who loved his yard work, and his mothers! He was always cheerful and pleasant, a pleasure to know.
We knew Dan as a neighbor to his mom, he was always friendly and pleasant, even when mowing the lawn in August! Our condolences to the family.
A dear friend of 57 years who brought joy and fun most any time I was in his presence. His passing leaves a big hole in my heart. Sending wishes of peace to his family and all who loved him.
