Carl W White, 88, of Fort Wayne died February 6, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. Carl was born April 6, 1930 in Fayette County. He was the son of the late John and Fleta White. Carl served our country in the U S Air Force and was a truck driver for Holland Motor Transport for 27 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He was the most generous, giving person and would make you feel like you were his favorite. Carl is survived by his children Carl White, Dale (Cindy) White and Daniel (Beth) White all of Fort Wayne, IN; Laura (Stacey) Bushey of Lake of Woods Hudson, IN, Elizabeth “Beth” (Scott) Reiling and Jennifer White both of Fort Wayne, IN; 22 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jane Goodwin of Fort Wayne, IN, Phyllis Stroh of IL, and Peggy Ann (Floyd) Tucker of Cowden, IL; brother, Max Clay (Ruth) White of Effingham, IL; . Carl was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary White, son, David White, brothers, John, Jim, Dean, Gene, Isaac and Jess White and Roy Grabner. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Monday, February 11, 2019 at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd with calling one hour prior. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 10, 2019, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with a rosary at 3:30 pm. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or Masses.

So sorry that I didn’t get to see Carl during his last days, but will never forget his courage and determination to “Carry On”. Especially right before his last surgery, when he was still joking! He and his dear late wife Mary were my oldest friends. My family and I, who knew them all of their lives, will always remember and miss them.
