Many fond memories of Uncle Terry taking my family downtown Chicago, to experience Michigan Avenue, Watertower Place, FOA Schwarts etc.
We still have the first books he bought my girls on one of our ventures…
It always amazed me how Uncle Terry could look at a numbered street/avenue and calculate exactly where we were and how many blocks it was to our destination…
And as a child, always looked forward to the birthday card from Uncle Terry, thought it was so cool to receive his card and $2 bills..
Prayers for Aunt Karlene, Geoff, and Alissa..

Great Uncle Terry was a special person and I will miss him greatly. We share the same birthday, and even though we did not live nearby, he always made sure to wish me a happy birthday. He celebrated major milestones in my life like graduating college and my family moving to Guam. He didn’t let the distance stop him. I remember he picked Grandma Peggy and I up from the airport one time and it was a ride to remember! I loved visiting where he worked with Grandma and my mom and just thinking how amazing it would be to work around books! I did work in my college library for a while after that. He also made me sooooo happy when I was younger and I somehow was fortunate enough to inherit his Simpsons VHS tapes! That was a treasure of laughter and comfort. I watched those tapes so much I’m surprised they haven’t worn out! I wish I had even more memories with him and more time I could have spent qith him. Uncle Terry had a sweet and gentle spirit that was thoughtful of others and I’m going to miss him. I am so thankful this is not goodbye, but rather, see you later as we both also love Christ our Lord.
With much love and sincere condolences,
Al was a wonderful friend and Aurora College roommate back in the day. He had a great sense of humor and we had fun working in the college cafeteria with all our other friends. He was also a very good student and applied himself to his studies more than most. I remember fondly how when we studied at night, he would almost always have his Coke and pound cake while rocking back and forth rather briskly in his chair at his desk. I also remember how much he particularly loved the Chicago Cubs and Bears. I am especially sad that he did not live to attend our upcoming 50th college reunion, which he was so looking forward to.
We truly lost a good one!
Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

I’m so sorry we couldn’t be here with you but you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We love you all so much and are so thankful for the life that Terry had and how wonderfully you took care of him.
My Uncle Terry (Alfred) was such a loving, kind soul, who was a Christian that genuinely loved like Jesus does. He never forgot a birthday, especially my daughter Vanessa’s. They shared the same birthday. He was my favorite uncle. We went to his high school reunion together. He was hilarious and wise. There was never a dull moment. He always had a funny story to tell even if it was at his own expense. When God made Uncle Terry He broke the mold. I’ve never met anyone like him. He was a genuine Christian man that I will miss until we meet again.
With gratitude and many fond memories of our years together. Our very best to Karlene, Geoff, and Alyssa with a promise of supportive prayers, and good wishes
You are in our thoughts and prayers,
